
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the Constitution of India and must be a holder of Degree in Law from a recognized University established by Law in India.
AGE LIMIT
Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates who have not completed 35 years of age (in case of General candidates) and 38 years of age (in case of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes candidates).

Preliminary Examination: Objective And Multiple Choice Type
Mains Examination: Descriptive Exam (Written Conventional Type)
Interview: Viva-Voce (Personality Type)
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
The prelims exam will be of 100 marks.

MAINS EXAMINATION
There will be 5 Papers in Mains. Each paper will consist of 100 Marks.
General category candidates who obtain 60% or more marks and the candidates of reserved Categories who obtain 50% or more marks in the Preliminary Examination shall be eligible for appearing in the Final Written Examination.

i) ENGLISH-100 marks:
(a) Essay Writing
(b) Preci Writing
(c) Grammar etc.
ii) BENGALI-100 marks:
(a) Translation of an English Passage into Bengali- 25 marks
(b) Translation of a Bengali Passage into English- 25 marks
(c) Essay writing- 30 marks
(d) Report writing to newspaper on social/specific problem to publish it to draw the attention of the authority- 20 marks.
iii) GENERAL KNOWLEDGE-100 marks:

INTERVIEW
The Interview or Viva-Voce will consist of 100 marks.
Successful candidates in the Final Written Examination shall be called for Interview/Viva Voce.
General category candidates who obtain 60% or more marks and candidates of reserved categories who obtain 50% or more marks in the Final Written Examination shall be eligible for Viva voce.
