CHHATTISGARH JUDICIARY SYLLABUS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

A person appearing for exam must have completed their graduation in Law from a recognized college or University.

AGE LIMIT

If you belong to the General category, the eligible age limit for you is between 21 and 35 years of age.

For those in the Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) categories of Chhattisgarh, there is an upper age relaxation of 5 years.

Candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category of Chhattisgarh will also receive an upper age relaxation of 5 years.

Female candidates have an upper age relaxation of 10 years.

If you fall under the Physically Handicapped category, you will receive an upper-age relaxation of 10 years.

State government employees Temporary/ Permanent of Chhattisgarh are granted an upper age relaxation of 3 years.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

Preliminary Examination : Objective and Multiple Choice Type.

Mains Examination : Descriptive Exam (Written Conventional Type).

Interview : Viva-voce (Personality Test).

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION 

Question paper for Preliminary Examination shall be of 100 marks and will consist of 100 objective type questions.

MAINS EXAMINATION  : TIME 3:00 HOURS, MARKS-100

Framing of issues and writing of Judgement in Civil Cases - (Maximum Marks-40)

Framing of charges and writing of Judgement in Criminal Cases - (Maximum Marks-40)

Translation: -

English to Hindi-  (Maximum 10 marks)

Hindi to English-  (Maximum 10 marks)

 

INTERVIEW: VIVA VOCE 

The maximum marks for Viva-voce would be 15.

A candidate belonging to unreserved category has to secure minimum 33% marks in the viva-voce and those belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes shall be required to secure minimum 25% marks in the viva-voce.
