Bihar Judiciary (PCS-J) Preparation Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Preparation

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University.

The candidate must be a citizen of India;

Must be a member of the Bar and must have had active practice in Criminal Courts for a period of not less than 5 years.

Must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.

 

AGE LIMIT

The candidates should have completed the age of 26 years.  

AGE RELAXATION

Others (Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs): Maximum age will be 36 years whereas Age Concession for Persons with Benchmark Disability, Ex Servicemen Destitute widow will be 46,50, No Maximum Age limit respectively.

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs: There will be no maximum age.

Note: No maximum age limit shall mean that the candidates should not have completed 60 years of age at the time of selection / appointment to the post.

Total no. of questions will be 200.

Duration for the exam will be 3 hours.

Maximum Marks- 300

Minimum qualifying Marks- 90 (SCs, SC(A)s STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs) and 120 (all others).

Language of question paper will be English and Tamil.

PLAN FOR MAINS EXAMINATION

The Main examination will consist of five papers ,out of which Paper-I will be qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in Paper II, Paper III, Paper IV and Paper V of Main examination and marks obtained in the Interview will be counted for ranking.

All paper will be of 3 hours duration and consist of 100 Marks.

Paper I- Tamil Eligibility Test

Minimum marks – 40 (SCs, SC(A)s STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs) and 40(all others).

Language of question paper will be Tamil.

Paper II- Law – I

Paper III- Law- II
