EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Degree in Law from a recognized University.
He should be a citizen of India.
AGE LIMIT
He should have attained the age of 25 yrs to 35 yrs. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST.

1. Part A & Part B - Paper III will be subjective in nature.
2. Part B – Paper I and Paper II will be in MCQ Pattern.

SYLLABUS FOR THE PART A
PART- A Paper in local language either Khasi or Garo will be qualifying in nature of 100 marks. All Candidates must obtain a minimum of 33%. And duration for this will be 2 Hours.
SYLLABUS FOR PART B
Paper- I
General Knowledge, aptitude, intelligence ,test of comprehension and expression of law and General English. It will be of 100 Marks and duration will be 2 Hours.
Paper-II
Objective questions and problems of law as regards the Civil Procedure Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Evidence Act, Indian Penal Code, Juvenile Justice Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Dowry Prohibition Act 1961, Arms Act, 1959, Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, State Local Acts (like Meghalaya Police Act, 2010), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
It will be of 100 Marks and duration will be of 2 hours.
Paper-III
Consisting of Subjective Question on Criminal Law and Procedure and Evidence Act.
It will be of 100 Marks and duration will be of 2 hours.
Part C
Personal Interview – It will be of 30 Marks.
