Bihar Judiciary (PCS-J) Preparation Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Preparation

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION 

The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in any subject along with a Bachelor's Degree in Law awarded by any University in India.

The candidates who have passed five year course in law after Intermediate are also eligible.

The candidate must have practised as an advocate for not less than three (3) years active practice in Criminal Courts in the State as on the date of notification.

 

AGE LIMIT 

A candidate must not have attained the age of 42 years as on the date of application.

AGE RELAXATION 

i) candidate belongs to a Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer only) or a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe- 5 years 

ii) candidate is Orthopedically Handicapped person- 10 years

iii) candidate is an employee of A.P. State Government - 5 years.

iv) candidates who served in the Army, Naval or Air Force of the Union - 3 years

v) whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC provided the candidate rendered a minimum service of 6 months - 3 years

vi) candidate is a retrenched temporary employee in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months during 1991 - 3 years.

PLAN FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION 

Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination in two papers (each of three hours duration). Both papers will be set in English language only. 

Paper-I - 200 Marks for 200 Multiple choice Questions.

Paper-II - 200 Marks ( Descriptive Type Questions)

The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the written examination is 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen in each paper.
